Confession

I have been leaning on my own understanding.

But God's Word tells me to:
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV

Another version puts it this way:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. NLT

If I truly trust in the Lord with all, not some, but all of my heart, I can lean on Him and His Word. My understanding of difficult situations is faulty. My attempts to fix difficult situations are often incorrect.

I'm the ant who sees the blades of grass as the tall forest with no end; He's the Creator who sees the exact path to get me out of the forest and back into the open air.

Seeking God with every step is the key. I should not make any moves without Him. Being in His presence daily, with thanksgiving, and letting Him know my issues, my requests, my thoughts - this is how He can guide me through the difficult times.

That is how He will guide you through difficult times...and good times, too!
