Hugo

I keep my songlasses on as I walk around this world.
They have protective lenses to help me see better; they help me see through the eyes of Christ.

My husband and I love to watch movies - you probably do, too. As believers, we watch movies with our songlasses - always finding ways to illuminate the Word of God through what we see. I realize that the movie may not be saying what we're seeing, but because we have our songlasses on, we're able to pick out any similarities & use them to glorify God.

I'm late with this one, but the movie Hugo had some quotes I wanted to share...

Right after my father died, I would come up here a lot. I'd imagine the whole world was one big machine. Machines never come with any extra parts, you know. They always come with the exact amount they need. So I figured if the entire world was one big machine, I couldn't be an extra part. I had to be here for some reason. And that means you have to be here for some reason too."  ~Hugo Cabret

God is PERFECT. Every person is here for a reason. He has a purpose for you.

“Maybe that's why a broken machine always makes me a little sad, because it isn't able to do what it was meant to do...Maybe it's the same with people," Hugo continued. "If you lose your purpose...it's like your broken.” ~Hugo Cabret

We have been created to display God's glory. Walking in that Truth allows us to walk in His purpose for us.

"Once upon a time, I met a boy named Hugo Cabret. He lived in a train station. Why did he live in a train station? You might well ask. That's really what this book is going to be about. And about how this singular young man searched so hard to find his secret message from his father and how that message led his way all the way home." ~Isabelle

The message is the Word of God - the Bible. While it is not a secret, so many people ignore it or never even read it. That message will lead you home - to an eternal home with God.

Decent movie. 5 Oscars.

My little homie, Kaelin, took me to see this on my birthday - Aw!
