Lord, Where Are You?

This morning, as I read Psalm 77, I had to look up and smile.

It begins: I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me. In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.

God's Word is so thorough. Whatever you are feeling, "There's a Psalm for that." Really.
I love the transparency & raw honesty in the book of Psalms. It is so necessary, or else God would have left it out.

It continues:  I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah. Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

But goes on to say:  I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings. Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?

Be encouraged today that whatever "yuck" feeling is plaguing you, God is Greater.
The unpleasant emotions that are tempting you to sin can be crushed focusing on the Prince of Peace.
Even the application of this can seem impossible right now. Thanks be to God that things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Continue to Praise HIM with your Voice!
Continue to Worship the LORD with your Mouth!
He is still Worthy. No matter what you're going through right this second, He is still Worthy of our Praise!
Once your focus is on the Creator, the One who can calm the storm, He can calm YOU. Then you can begin to see the situation through His eyes: how He's working it out for your good, how He'll use it to strengthen you, how He'll allow your trust & faith in Him to increase.

Keep Running. Persevere. This is Temporary. Eternity with Him awaits...
