Psalm 46

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

God is our shelter and our power; our protection and our courage; our sanctuary, place of safety and our toughness, our muscle.
We can hide in His shadow and be strong in the power of His might.
We fight or flight. He is our flight and fight.
All this takes place perfectly in our time of need.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed,
and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,
though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
Selah.

And because God is our flight and fight, we do not have to fear our troubles. Truly, if the earth is removed from under you while mountains are carried off to the sea, any troubles you are facing would vanish. You would be so occupied with trying to stay alive that your problems and issues would dissipate. That's real, lol.

But really, what situations in your life have the ground crumbling beneath you? What circumstances are moving everything out of order? What is flowing through your life like raging, roaring waters? What started off small and is now uncontrollably bigger? Read the passage above. Though these things are happening, we will not fear. Why? Because Right Now, God is where we can go for safety and where we can go for power to overcome the trouble that is before us.

Be Strong. Be Courageous. Do not fear or be dismayed.
